Recreational trolling fishing

Fishing trip in a traditional fishing style, where we troll on the lake by boat. At a slow speed, we pull lures through the most fish-rich spots, where the catch can sometimes be quite abundant. The usual catch is pike-perch, pike, or perch. If luck is on our side, we may even catch a trout in the colder waters.

The boat is not very large, so this trip can only max. three people. The boat will have a driver and an English-speaking fishing guide. In terms of weather, please be prepared that the departure location for the fishing trip may be either in Kajaani or Vuokatti. This product is also very suitable for younger anglers in the family.

With the guide’s assistance, you will learn fishing techniques and how to approach the activity. Multiple lures will be used, providing a great opportunity to learn the skill of trolling.

Additionally, you will receive information about different lures, including their colors, swimming depths, various models, and their effectiveness in different weather conditions and water temperatures. You will also learn how to read a sonar device, which can help in locating fish.

And if we’re lucky, you may catch fish to take with you and prepare a delicious meal, perhaps at your accommodation.

What will you need to bring? Clothing / equipment recommended:

Please remember to dress warmly according to the weather. We recommend you to wear warm and comfortable extra clothes (e.g. underwear, socks, in multiple layers). Also, make sure to wear waterproof and warm boots suitable for winter conditions to keep your feet dry and comfortable throughout the trip. If you need any equipment, please make sure to reserve it separately!
